Graphite makes the C656’s woofer cone extremely stiff and light, which gives the speaker a clearer sound with lower distortion. The silk dome tweeter forms a synergistic blend with the graphite woofer, for the sweetest sound you’ve ever heard at this price. The 6½-inch woofer plays down to 45 Hz—pretty amazing for such a small speaker!
By angling the C656’s drivers 15 degrees, we allow you to point the speaker at the listener even though it’s facing down. The imaging effects are just about as good as what you get from a conventional speaker—and in some ways even better. You can also pivot the tweeter to fine-tune the directionality of the sound.
