Sheri Colberg, Ph.D. has an extensive record of research, publications, and professional service that has primarily focused on diabetes, prediabetes, obesity, aging, fitness, and health management using lifestyle changes, behavior change, and empowerment strategies.  She is the author of 8 health-related books, including the 7 Step Diabetes Fitness Plan and The Science of Staying Young, 10 book chapters, over 250 articles (including a recent joint position statement on exercise and type 2 diabetes), and the 52-week “Fit Brain, Fit Body!” programs.  A professor of exercise science at Old Dominion University and adjunct professor of internal medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School, she is also a funded researcher on exercise, diabetes, and aging, as well as a member of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Prevention Committee, the ADA’s representative on the U.S. National Physical Activity Plan, and a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine.  See http://www.shericolberg.com

Heidi Grant Halvorson, Ph.D. is a social psychologist and author of the book Succeed: How We Can Reach Our Goals.  Her research has focused on motivation and goal pursuit, identifying the strategies that help people overcome the most common pitfalls.  She is also Associate Director of the Motivation Science Center at the Columbia University Business School.  Dr. Grant Halvorson’s scientific publications appear in prestigious journals like the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, European Journal of Social Psychology, and Judgment and Decision Making.  She is also a popular expert blogger for Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, Psychology Today, Forbes, and Huffington Post.  See http://www.heidigranthalvorson.com
